Who we are
This website, faisalconsulting.co.uk, is operated by Faisal Mahmud, trading as Faisal Consulting, based in Alicante, Spain. For any question about this policy or your data, contact hello@faisalconsulting.co.uk.
What we collect
When you fill in a form on this site — for example, to download a free resource or get in touch — we collect the information you provide: your name and email address. If you book a call, our scheduling provider (Calendly) collects the scheduling details you enter. If you email us directly, we hold that correspondence.
We also use standard website analytics to understand how the site is used (for example, which pages are visited). Where analytics or advertising cookies are active, you will be asked for cookie consent separately from this policy, and can decline non-essential cookies at any time.
Why we collect it, and our legal basis
We use your name and email to send you the specific resource you requested. This is based on your consent, given when you submit the form.
If you separately tick the box to receive occasional marketing emails, we will only use your details for that purpose with your explicit, unticked-by-default consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us or unsubscribing from any email we send.
If you book a call or engage us for work, we process your details on the basis of taking steps toward, or performing, a contract with you.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party services to run this site, each acting as a data processor on our behalf:
- FormSubmit — processes form submissions and forwards them to us by email.
- Calendly — handles call scheduling if you book a call.
- Google Analytics — provides anonymised website usage statistics.
- LinkedIn — its Insight Tag helps us understand traffic from LinkedIn and measure ad performance.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.
International transfers
Some of the services above are based outside the UK/EU (including in the United States). Where this applies, those providers maintain their own data protection safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your information in line with UK and EU data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry, deliver the resource you requested, or provide any services you've engaged us for — or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law, you have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to our processing of it, and request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email hello@faisalconsulting.co.uk.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the tools it uses change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
