Services & Engagement Models

Senior marketing leadership without a six-month hiring process. Four ways to work together, depending on what the business actually needs.

Fractional

From £750/day · Typically 3–6 months

1–3 days per week alongside your existing team. You get a senior marketing director without the full-time salary, NI, and notice period.

Best for: businesses with a small or junior in-house marketing team that need senior strategic ownership, but aren’t yet ready for a permanent hire at this level.

  • Weekly cadence — strategy sessions, agency oversight, performance reviews
  • Hands-on in campaigns, reporting and tracking when needed
  • Clear handover if the role moves to permanent

Interim

From £750/day · Typically 1–6 months

Full-time for a defined period — covering a leadership gap, a restructure, a major campaign, or a critical growth push.

Best for: businesses between permanent marketing directors, or with a specific, time-pressured problem that needs full senior ownership now.

  • Day-to-day ownership of the marketing function
  • Agency briefing, management and accountability
  • Tracking, attribution and reporting set up properly

Project

Fixed fee on request · Typically 2–8 weeks

A defined piece of work with a clear output and a fixed scope — a tracking audit, an attribution rebuild, an agency review, or a channel strategy.

Best for: businesses that know specifically what needs fixing and want a senior person to own the fix end-to-end, not just advise on it.

  • Scoped brief agreed before work starts
  • Fixed deliverable — framework, audit, or implementation
  • No ongoing commitment required

Advisory

Monthly retainer · Ongoing

A standing relationship for a founder, CEO or in-house marketing team who needs a senior sounding board — without full fractional involvement.

Best for: early-stage founders, small teams, or businesses that have internal marketing resource but need experienced oversight and challenge.

  • A few hours per month — calls, reviews, quick responses
  • Access to frameworks, tools and templates
  • Escalate to fractional or interim if the need grows

What happens on the diagnostic call

01

You describe the situation

What’s working, what isn’t, and what you’ve already tried. No prep needed — the conversation itself tends to surface the real problem quickly.

02

I ask the questions you haven’t been asked

Usually about tracking, attribution, agency accountability, or who actually owns the marketing outcome end-to-end. Most businesses have an answer to these questions — but haven’t been pushed to articulate it before.

03

We agree whether there’s a useful next step

No sales pitch, no follow-up pressure. If there’s a clear fit between what you need and what I do, I’ll say so plainly and suggest the right engagement type. If there isn’t, I’ll say that too.

I allow 30 minutes in the diary in case we need longer than 20.
